DK (5-5.75) Gauge Yarn

DK or Double Knitting weight yarns are often used in a similar way to sport weight yarns for light weight garments, socks, shawls, baby clothes, and Fair Isle color work projects. Slightly thicker than sport weight yarn, DK weight yarns knit up to a gauge of 5.25-6 stitches per inch on a US size 5-7 knitting needle.
