Fingering (7-7.75) Gauge Yarn

Fingering or sock weight yarns are commonly used for knitting socks, baby clothes, and Fair Isle color work projects. At approximately double the thickness of lace weight yarn, fingering weight yarns knit up to a gauge of 7-8 stitches per inch on a US size 1-3 knitting needle.
