Join us in learning the foundational techniques of frame loom weaving and create your own tapestry. We will discuss weaving basics and learn essentials like plain tabby weave, soumak and fringe rya. Use the Ashford Frame Loom weaving kit or bring your own frame loom (not to exceed 12" x 16").

Prerequisite: no prior weaving experience is necessary.

Materials - If you purchase the Ashford Frame Loom Weaving kit:

• Ashford Frame Loom Weaving Kit (includes all the other materials except the plastic beater)
• Schacht plastic beater

Materials - If you have your own frame loom (not to exceed 12" x 16"):

• Schacht plastic beater
• Weaving needle (Ashford Wood or Schacht plastic)
• 3 ounces roving in 3 colors (1 ounce each)
• 2 balls of yarn in colors complementing the roving (choose from Berroco Modern Comfort, Berroco Lanas, Berroco Vintage, Universal Uni Cotton)

The Websters Class Policies:

• Pre-registration is required for all classes.
• Materials must be purchased in the shop ahead of class.
• Classes have a 4-6 person limit, depending on the class.
• Classes need a minimum of 3 students to run. If the minimum is not met by 2 days prior to class, the class will be cancelled and students will be offered a refund or store credit.
• Student cancellations more than 2 days in advance will be issued a store credit.
• Student cancellations less than 2 days of class are not eligible for a store credit.
• “No shows” are not eligible for a store credit.
