This class is a continuation of our Beginning 101 class and will broaden your skills in the world of knitting. We will be making the Barley hat; a knit beanie with a ribbed edge and a garter stitch accent. Building on the use of knit and purl stitches, we will also cover knit decreases and using double pointed needles. 

Prerequisites: must know how to knit and purl.

*Materials must be purchased ahead of class time.

Materials:

• Barley Hat pattern (provided by instructor)
• 60-130 yards of worsted weight yarn (Malabrigo Rios or Berroco Ultra Wool)
• US 6 & US 8 16" circular needles
• US 8 double pointed needles
• Stitch markers
• Tapestry needle

The Websters Class Policies:

• Pre-registration is required for all classes.
• Materials must be purchased in the shop ahead of class.
• Classes have a 4-6 person limit, depending on the class.
• Classes need a minimum of 3 students to run. If the minimum is not met by 2 days prior to class, the class will be cancelled and students will be offered a refund or store credit.
• Student cancellations more than 2 days in advance will be issued a store credit.
• Student cancellations less than 2 days of class are not eligible for a store credit.
• “No shows” are not eligible for a store credit.
