Every now and again, we'll stumble across a pattern that stops us in our tracks - and we just HAVE to knit it. Camilla Vad's Bloom Vest did just that, and it was love at first stitch. Soft and spacious, this scrumptious piece is knit using 1 strand of Isager Baby yarn held with 3 strands of Isager Silk Mohair, creating a lush fabric with an ethereal halo. The Bloom vest is knit from the bottom up in the round, and features a soft gradient that's achieved by alternating mohair colors. Once complete, you can embroider bubble details that ’bloom’ wherever you decide to add them. 

As you probably already know, Isager Baby yarn isn't just for baby knits! This supersoft blend of organic pima cotton and baby alpaca is a fantastic choice for garments and accessories for all seasons. The modern palette of Isager Baby features a handful of softly dyed colors, as well as a few undyed shades where the color comes from natural variations in the alpaca fiber. Sarah's version of the Bloom Vest (shown above) was knit using Isager Baby in color E7S (a warm neutral) paired with 2 colors of Isager Silk Mohair (028 and 062). We love how the addition of all that mohair creates such a dimensional fabric; the color combinations are truly endless with this vest! Sarah used scrap yarn from previous projects to embroider her bubbles, and we encourage you to do the same.

Another one of Camilla Vad's incredibly beautiful patterns featuring Isager Baby and Isager Silk Mohair is the Field Sweater. The version above was knit by Ravelry user Purlificknitter, and it's such a sweet top for pairing with summer skirts. Directions for this pattern include options for two colors (as featured above), as well as the classic single color version without the addition of mohair. The original Field Sweater features long sleeves (also included in the pattern), so if you're not into summer sweaters it's still a great project to knit now in preparation for fall!
