Class Knit Hat Cabled session 2

Description

Take your knitting to a new level and knit your first cabled hat. We will cover basic cables, reading cable charts and using double pointed needles. Knit Hat in size Baby/16" (Child/18", Adult S/21", Adult L/23").

Materials:

Homework:

  • Using smaller needle (US6), cast on 76 (84, 96, 106) stitches
  • Join to knit in the round and place marker to indicate BOR
  • Next Round - *K1, P1; repeat from * to end
  • Repeat last round (1x1 ribbing) until work measures 1" (2, 2, 2.5)"
  • Adult S and Adult L only: on last round, work 1x1 rib until last 2 stitches, k2tog.
  • Stop and bring ribbed brim to class
