Learn a unique Estonian knitting technique called Roosimine. We will knit the Elupuu Hat (Estonian Tree of Life), which is the perfect introduction to this simple colorwork technique.

Prerequisites: must know how to knit in the round, purl and decrease.

Materials:

• Elupuu Hat pattern
• Yarn MC: 115 yards of DK weight non-superwash yarn (The Fibre Co. Lore, Rosa Pomar Brusca, De Rerum Natura Ulysse, Amano Andes)
• Yarn CC: 33 yards of DK weight non-superwash yarn (see above)
• US 6 16" circular needles
• US 6 double pointed needles
• 3 stitch markers
• Tapestry needle

Homework:

• Hat sizes are 18 (20, 22)"
• Cast on 72 (80, 90) stitches using long tail cast on
• Place marker and join to knit in the round
• Round 1: K1, P1, repeat to end.
• Repeat round 1 for 2" brim and bring to class.

• Classes have a 4-6 person limit, depending on the class.
• Classes need a minimum of 3 students to run. If the minimum is not met by 2 days prior to class, the class will be cancelled and students will be offered a refund or store credit.
• Student cancellations more than 2 days in advance will be issued a store credit.
• Student cancellations less than 2 days of class are not eligible for a store credit.
• “No shows” are not eligible for a store credit.
