Churchmouse Pattern Inside Outside Cowl

Description

With some very simple knitting (and a little fussy finishing) you'll have a double layer cowl that's totally seamless, utterly reversible, and very versatile.The two-color version can be worn either color out, or shifted half way for bold color blocking. There is also a bonus pattern for a totally tubular headband that you can knot, or not.

Pattern Details:

Sizes: Headband (Small Cowl, Large Cowl)

Finished Measurements:17 (24, 28)" circumference; 4 (5.5, 9)" depth after knotting, grafting or seaming, before stretching

Yarn: 1 (1, 2) skeins Rowan Kidsilk Haze (1 skein each of 2 colors for Large Cowl)

Needles and Notions: US 2-3 double pointed needles (Headband); US 2-3 16 (24)" circular needle (Cowls); spare needle or double pointed needles for grafting, US D-E crochet hook for provisional cast on (Headbands & Cowls)

Gauge: 24 stitches & 38 rounds = 4" in stockinette stitch in the round
