New Spring Yarn: JMF Cotton + Merino
Mar 11th 2024
It's springtime here in Southern Oregon - which means one day the sun is out and daffodils are blooming, while the next day it's freezing and the air is filled with snow flurries. It's hard to think about warm weather knitting projects, so instead we're leaning into fabulous fiber blends that carry us from season to season.
Juniper Moon Farm just released a dream of an all-season yarn, Cotton + Merino. This luxurious blend of organic cotton and Merino wool comes in a worsted/aran weight and is available in range of beautiful spring hues. Each 100g ball has a whopping 229 yards, making it a great choice for larger projects. We think the durability of cotton blended with the warmth and softness of Merino wool makes this yarn an ideal choice for both garments and accessories year-round.
We're always looking for the perfect "daily wear" yarn and pattern combo - and this one is at the top of our list. The Daily sweater by Andrea Mowry was designed to be worn any (or every!) day of the week - it's got a polished crew neck, drop shoulders, and a stylish boxy fit. Pick any 2 colors of Cotton + Merino to make this sweater your own; go with bright, bold hues to liven up any outfit or pair a neutral with a pop of color for something playful yet chic.
