New Rowan Magazine and Yarn for Autumn
Sep 3rd 2024
Autumn is right around the corner, and the highly anticipated Rowan Magazine 76 just hit our shelves. Told through one captivating story, ‘Heritage’, Magazine 76 celebrates the heartland of Rowan. The seasonal and ever-changing landscape of Yorkshire, the home of Rowan, is the inspiration and backdrop to this carefully crafted story of beautiful knits.
From charming stone buildings to the bracken and heather of the open moors, the instantly recognizable landscape is synonymous with Rowan. Featured designers in this issue use Alpaca Classic, Alpaca Soft and Felted Tweed to the tell the Heritage story through texture and colorwork.
As if Magazine 76 isn't enough, another reason to be excited for Autumn is the launch of the newest member of the Rowan yarn family. Pure Alpaca is an exquisite, superfine alpaca perfect for creating handknits with a soft handle and luxurious feel. This form of alpaca comes from the first shearing, meaning not only is it super soft but also has a lovely drape.
This dk weight yarn has 109 yards per 50 gram ball and is available in a curated palette of beautiful jewel-like tones. Curious what to make with Pure Alpaca? Check out the Softly Tailored book below for inspiration.
