New Fall Reads for Cozying Up
Oct 26th 2024
We're experiencing our first week of chilly autumn weather here in Southern Oregon, and we're thrilled that the weekend has finally arrived so we can have a cozy day inside. There's nothing better than a hot cup of tea and a good book to enjoy during this time of year, don't you agree?? We find it to be a great way to unwind and recharge for the week ahead.
We've gotten a whole slew of fantastic new books in at the shop recently, so we thought we'd pull together some of our favorites to share with you; whether you're looking for something with inspiring patterns, techniques to improve your knitting or a new skill set all together, we guarantee there's something for everyone to be found on our shelves.
Nordic Knits is a captivating one-off issue of Laine Magazine dedicated entirely to celebrating Nordic knitting traditions and aesthetics. Featuring 17 knitting patterns, interesting articles and beautiful photography, this special edition promises to immerse readers in the rich tapestry of Nordic knitwear. We also really love the interview with Danish knitwear designer Mette Wendelboe Okkels, aka PetiteKnit, who is known for her classic and slightly minimalistic knits.

Our favorite brand of tea right now is Steven Smith Teamaker. Each exceptionally crafted flavor is nuanced, sugar-free and comes in their signature plant-based sachets. As a PNW based yarn shop, we love that these fine teas are handmade in small batches nearby in Portland, OR, and we just received our order of holiday teas!
The British Brunch No. 18 (shown above) is a rich blend of full-bodied Indian Assam teas paired with succulent Ceylon dimbula, floral Ceylon uva ,and a touch of smoky keemun from China. It's perfect for brunch, but also a delicious way to warm up any time of day.
A staff favorite here at Websters is Meadow No. 67; we find ourselves sipping on this caffeine-free blend throughout the day to stay cozy. Meadow features golden Egyptian chamomile flowers and mildly stimulating, fragrant hyssop joined with smooth cape rooibos, rose petals and linden flowers.
