Limited Edition Tosh Work Sock Sport is Here!
Jul 17th 2024
A new limited edition yarn from Madelinetosh just landed on our shelves, and it's a pretty BIG deal. Work Sock Sport is a scrumptious, double sized skein of hand dyed goodness. This sport weight blend of 75% superwash Merino wool and 25% nylon has a tight, bouncy ply structure and boasts 400 yards per skein. It's perfect for socks, garments, and accessories.
We're thrilled to be one of just a handful of Local Yarn Stores in the US stocking this special, limited edition yarn. We've got 10 bold, beautiful colors in stock and we recommend you shop now before it's gone for good!
Colorways featured above are Pinata Pop, Ken-ergy, and Hydroponic.
Not sure what to knit with Madelinetosh Work Sock Sport? We recommend socks (more on that later), but for those of you who aren't sock knitters we're offering a free digital copy of the Winging It Shawl by Lena Skvagerson with your purchase of 2 skeins. This fun shawl uses simple mosaic colorwork techniques to create graceful wings of color.
Lots of folks knit socks in standard fingering weight yarn, but we love a good sport weight sock pattern! You'll only need 1 skein of Work Sock Sport for either of the patterns suggested below, and you'll be amazed at how quickly they knit up.
We love the Sleepyhead Socks for their classic yet simple silhouette, plus they're so easy to knit you can work on them as your bedtime project. The Indigo Leaves socks look absolutely charming and delicate, but they have been specifically designed for this heavier weight sock yarn. No matter what sport weight sock pattern you choose, they'll likely fly right off the needles!
