Berroco makes some of our favorite yarns for warm weather knitting, and their new Meraki is at the top of our must try list. This supersoft, thick and thin textured yarn is a blend of hemp and cotton, with a touch of polyester. Meraki has a unique pebbly texture with subtle flecks of color that create a beautiful stonewash effect. Its light hand and soft drape make it the perfect choice for easy, lightweight summer knits. Added bonus? Meraki is machine washable, making care a breeze.

We really love the addition of hemp fiber in this yarn. Hemp is a super sustainable, eco-friendly option for knitting and crochet. It's strong, breathable, and requires less water and pesticides to produce compared to traditional plant materials - making it a great choice for environmentally conscious crafters.

Melora is a cropped, cables and lace cardigan that's made for layering; light and relaxed, perfect for those summer beachy vibes. This cardigan, designed by Alison Green, is worked from the bottom up in one piece to the underarm. The body of the sweater is then divided into left front, right front and back, each worked separately to the shoulders. Sleeves are picked up and worked down in the round. Please note that the stitch patterns are charted, so we'd consider this an intermediate project.
