We absolutely adore a good hat knitting pattern, don't you?! It's a quick way to craft a unique-to-you accessory while also keeping your head nice and toasty on a winter's day - plus there's something super satisfying about seeing a pattern come to life as you knit. One of our shop girls recently knitted a Pressed Flowers hat sample for us, and now we're obsessed with this pretty little beanie.

The Pressed Flowers hat, designed by Amy Christoffers, uses a technique called mosaic knitting. Unlike traditional stranded colorwork (where you're using two or more strands at a time), mosaic knitting uses only one strand at a time. In addition to making colorwork simpler to manage, you get fewer floats and a more flexible fabric. Mosaic knitting is such a fun technique - we encourage you to try it!
