January is an ideal time to take stock of projects and supplies and clean house. We love to spring clean or "konmari" our stash and supplies, and get ourselves organized for the new year!
Of course Cocoknits plays a big part in our crafting success, and they have come up with a few new accessories just perfect for organizing! Take a look...
Even in this day and age of Ravelry and iphones and smart watches, there are some of us who still track the world with paper and pen. Julie, owner of Cocoknits, loves a paper pattern, curling up with a magazine, and scribbling notes to herself... and so she created this handy Project Portfolio to keep all of her pieces in one place.
Made of washable Kraft paper fabric, the spine elastic secures up to 4 magazines, books, or journals. It also boasts 3 interior pockets to store a tablet, phone, loose-leaf papers, pen/pencil and other small necessities. A flat elastic band holds the portfolio closed... and of course it comes with 4 colors of elastic to choose from.
The Accessory Roll is an ingenious solution to stash your making tools, and more! Made of sturdy washable paper, the Accessory Roll is comprised of an outer wrap that encloses four removable triangular envelope-style pouches attached by snaps. The elastic bands hold the roll closed, and can be customized with any of three additional colors provided.
Convenient at home or on the go, the Accessory Roll organizes all your little essentials. Fill up each section with your knitting notions, craft tools, makeup, jewelry, earbuds, phone charger, bottle opener - whatever you need to have at hand. Take the whole roll, or simply unsnap one or two pouches to toss in your bag and be prepared for your day. Julie made a holiday video of the Accessory Roll in action that you can view on her Instagram.

What does she mean, "washable"?? Both the Project Portfolio and Accessory Roll are machine washable, and it actually makes them even better! Washing softens the material creating a worn look similar to leather. To wash, simply remove the elastic, machine wash on gentle in cool water. Squeeze and crumple while damp to encourage wrinkles and texture. Re-shape and allow to air dry. You can watch a video of Julie showing this technique, as well as how to re-band the elastic in the Project Portfolio, in her Instagram stories.

We have been obsessed with bulky hats and cowls, but can never seem to find notions that work for those big needles! Once again, Cocoknits to the rescue. We now have Jumbo Stitch Markers that will fit over those big needles! They also added Jumbo Stitch Stoppers, suitable for needles up to size US 19.
