The Felix Cardigan is a cute, top-down sweater that will make a perfect layering piece in your wardrobe. In class, you will learn wrap and turn short row shaping, eyelet raglan increases, and picking up stitches.

Prerequisite: must know how to knit, purl, knit in the round in small circumference, decreases

Materials:

• Felix Cardigan pattern
• US 10 16", 24" (or longer) circular needles and DPN's
• US 8 16", 24" (or longer) circular needles and DPN's
• 700 (800, 900, 1000, 1100) yards of aran weight yarn (sample knit in Rowan Kid Classic)
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch markers
• 6 20mm buttons

Homework:
Knit a swatch, wash and dry it, and bring it to the first class as follows:

• Cast on 20 sts with US 10 needle
• Knit 3 rows
• Row 1: K3, P14, K3
• Row 2: Knit to end of row
• Repeat rows 1 & 2 9 more times for a total of 20 rows
• Knit 3 rows
• Bind off loosly
