Class Cecelia Campochiaro Workshop - Modern Lace
Description
Laces and gauzes made with sequence knitting are beautiful! They can be as simple as a sequence knitting pattern in knits and purls worked on bigger needles, or true lace with yarnovers on both sides of the fabric. We’ll talk about different ways to create open, airy fabrics; what the challenges are. You will swatch a new shawl pattern in a reversible lace. If you haven’t made lace before, this is a good introduction.
Materials:
The class project uses 4 cones of Ito Kinu and a size US 2 or US 3 (3 or 3.25 mm) needle. Kits will be available soon, or a single cone of Kinu will suffice for class.
Skill Level:
Intermediate. Students must be able to cast on, bind off, knit, purl, increase and decrease without help and should be able to read their knitting.
