Class Beginning Crochet 101 March
Description
Ready to get hooked on crochet? This three session, beginning crochet series will introduce you to the fun and fundamentals of crochet. Along the way we will explore slip knots, how to hold and tension your yarn, a variety of crochet stitches including single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and how to read a pattern. By the end of the class, you will have a swatch stitch dictionary of the stitches presented and two small projects (washcloth and soap sack) that apply the skills practiced in the class.
Prerequisite: no prior crochet experience is necessary.
*Materials must be purchased ahead of class time.
Materials:
- 1 skein of Berroco Lanas or worsted weight wool yarn
- 1 skein of Rowan Handknit Cotton or worsted weight cotton yarn
- Amour Crochet Hook size J/6mm
- John James Tapestry Needles Size 13
- Measuring Tape (optional)
The Websters Class Policies:
- Pre-registration is required for all classes.
- Materials must be purchased in the shop ahead of class.
- Classes have a 4-6 person limit, depending on the class.
- Classes need a minimum of 3 students to run. If the minimum is not met by 2 days prior to class, students will be notified and credited for a future class.
- Cancellations up to 48 hours in advance will be issued a store credit.
- Cancellations within 48 hours are not eligible for a refund.
