Spring into Crafting Fun!
Mar 23rd 2026
Spring is here in Southern Oregon, and we're feeling inspired to give our knitting needles a rest in favor of other crafts. One of our favorite activities this time of year is gathering with our family (especially if you are home during spring break!) and felting these playful, heirloom Easter eggs.
The Felted Sky Easter Egg Needle Felting Kits are great for creating springtime decor and memories that will last a lifetime. The wool eggs are already formed, so you can jump to the decorating part without having to do the prep work. This beautifully packaged kit comes with a detailed instruction booklet and video tutorial that will walk you through the process of creating each piece or your own unique design. In addition to the Easter Egg Felting Kits, we have tons of gorgeous Felted Sky needle felting kits and mini kits that are worth checking out!

One of our favorite crafts for younger kids is weaving potholders. You probably know someone who made potholders on a loom like this when they were a child. It’s one of those wonderful ,old fashioned inventions that's still popular and useful today. Weaving on the Potholder Loom is fun and easy to do for all ages - plus it also helps kids develop important skills like hand-eye coordination. Each kit comes with enough loops to make 2 colorful potholders (and you can buy additional loops here if you need them!).
Another way to explore new crafts this spring is to pick up a kit by Flax & Twine. This fantastic company believes everyone's a maker, and designs beautiful, simple craft projects that anyone can make.
We stock a carefully curated assortment of kits from Flax & Twine, focusing on classic yet elegant projects to elevate your home decor. Try your hands at basket weaving with the Naomi Nesting Bowls, or expand your beginning crochet skills while making the Skye Linen Basket Kit (featured above). Whatever project you choose, each kit will come with everything you need: detailed instructions, step-by-step videos and natural fiber materials.
Note that Flax & Twine kits are best suited for adults and teens.
Have you heard of the Woobles?!? These cute, little critter kits are perfect for anyone who wants to learn how to crochet. Each kit comes with all the materials you need, plus step-by-step video tutorials that expertly guide you through each stitch and technique, and a pre-started piece so you can get straight to the fun.
We currently stock over a dozen cute kits from Woobles, so you're sure to find one to make you smile; but be careful, you might get hooked!

If you've had a chance to visit our shop in Ashland, you already know knitting is a way of life for our talented and dedicated staff. We've decided to put our knitting needles to work for an incredible cause again April 11th, and we need your help!
The Knit for Food knit-a-thon is a 12 hour knitting marathon to raise funds and awareness for food insecurity. 100% of funds raised will be equally divided between Feeding America, World Central Kitchen, No Kid Hungry, and Meals on Wheels. This is our second year participating in Knit for Food, and we've set up Team Websters again - lead by our staffer Sarah, who has committed to knitting for the cause. There are two ways to support the Knit for Food knit-a-thon: You can donate OR you can sign up to knit/craft for 12 hrs!
Please click the button below to join us on Team Websters, donate to the cause, or to simply learn more about this year's Knit for Food knit-a-thon.

Hey Locals! We'd love for you to come out and join Team Websters for an afternoon of crafting on April 11th, even if you're not doing the whole marathon. We'll be hosting a public meet-up at Clyde's Corner from 12-4pm. Out of respect for our friends over at Clyde's, we need an accurate headcount for our meet-up, so please RSVP here if you plan on joining. Our group table reservation is limited to 15 people; thanks for understanding, and we hope to see you there!
