Knit for Food Knit-a-thon
Feb 24th 2026
If you've had a chance to visit our shop in Ashland, you already know knitting is a way of life for our talented and dedicated staff. We've decided to put our knitting needles to work for an incredible cause again this April, and we need your help!
The Knit for Food knit-a-thon is a 12 hour knitting marathon to raise funds and awareness for food insecurity. 100% of funds raised will be equally divided between Feeding America, World Central Kitchen, No Kid Hungry, and Meals on Wheels. In 2021 participating knitters raised $265,810! In 2022 they raised $271,761! In 2023 they raised $340,000! In 2024 they raised $379,010!! In 2025 they raised $530,840!!! That means knitters have raised over $1.7 MILLION with their knitting needles in five years - how amazing is that?!?
This is our second year participating in Knit for Food, and we've set up Team Websters again - lead by our staffer Sarah, who has committed to knitting for the cause. There are two ways to support the Knit for Food knit-a-thon: You can donate OR you can sign up to knit/craft for 12 hours!

We've been swooning over this brand for awhile, and we're excited to announce that Soolla Studio has just landed in the shop! Soolla Studio was launched in California by a potter to solve a problem most artists face: having to choose between a bag that's functional but ugly, or stylish but impractical. With their flagship product, the Soolla Studio Bag, you get the best of both worlds.
The Soolla Studio Bag keeps your tools organized, so your creative energy flows uninterrupted. Crafted from durable, washable, duck canvas with 30 (yes, THIRTY) thoughtfully designed pockets, it’s your ultimate companion - at home, in the studio, or on the move. This highly versatile bag is a dream for any and all artists, and we've found it to be a fantastic knitting/crochet project bag. The interior body is roomy enough to accommodate a mid-sized project, as well as any tools or notions you might need. The rectangular shape of this bag offers a stable base, so you can set it down anywhere, and the always-open top allows your yarn to move freely without snagging on any zippers. Added bonus? The Soolla Studio Bag comes in a variety of colors, and we currently have 7 different options in stock, so you're sure to find the perfect hue.

In addition to the Studio Bag, we've also stocked up on the Studio Pouch. This genius pouch is a compact carry-all for makers who appreciate a little order in their chaos. Structured enough to hold its form, soft enough to fit anywhere, and fully machine-washable for the days that get a little messy, your tools and any other creative essentials stay safe, visible, and ready wherever you go.
Inside, 20 pockets make space for whatever you find essential (it even fits an A5 notebook!) safely secured by a smooth YKK zipper. The outer pockets are great for crochet hooks, interchangeable needle tips, pens, and even scissors. Sized to fit within the larger Studio bags or carry as a standalone tool and notion pouch, it’s organization that moves with you. The Soolla Studio Pouch is also available in 7 colors, so you can opt to match your Studio Bag, or go for a contrasting color.
