Kicking off our 2026 Temperature Blanket MAL

Happy New Year!

We hope you all had a cozy holiday season with loved ones, and are ready to embrace all the promise of the new year. We have several staffers winding yarn and getting started on their 2026 Temperature Blanket Project!

We have had so much fun playing with color over the last 2 months while we plan and prep, and we look forward to seeing everyone's finalized palettes and pattern choices. We've created both a FB Group and a Ravelry Group for this MAL, and we encourage you to join one (or both!) to share your progress and stay in touch with other participants.

Speaking of participants... do you have any friends who might be interested in embarking on a temperature blanket journey? It's not too late to join the fun! Feel free to share this email with other makers, the more the merrier! Send them down to the shop before to look at patterns, get a temperature scale worksheet, and pick out yarn - our knowledgeable staff is more than happy to help.

This Make-a-Long will run through the entire year of 2026, and we highly encourage you to attend our monthly MAL meetups. Having the support and encouragement of your local crafting community is a great way to stay on track, even when life gets busy. Plus, we want to connect with you, and see everyone's progress throughout the year!

Our first Team Temperature Blanket meetup will be Thursday, January 8th at 5:30pm.

Beginning in February, we'll be having regular MAL meetups down at the shop the first Thursday of every month from 5:30-7:30pm.

Even if you miss a meetup, our MAL hosts Paula and Sarah will be sharing their blanket progress online throughout the year. We'd love to see your progress, too - don't forget to share updates in those groups we mentioned above, or tag us on IG @yarnatwebsters

Just in case you didn't finalize your yarn choice during our planning party, we recommend using a worsted weight, machine washable yarn like Berroco Vintage or Berroco Ultra Wool.
