Introducing Equinox Sport

Introducing Equinox Sport

Mar 30th 2026

This week we received a beautiful box full of new yarn from Magpie Fibers, and we're thrilled to introduce Equinox Sport! This luscious silk-linen blend offers luminous color, gorgeous drape, and supersoft year-round versatility. We really can’t get over how these colors just glow, or how lovely it feels against the skin.

Each hand dyed skein of Equinox Sport has an ample 365 yards, and we currently have 9 colors in stock. We’re already planning to knit up some new tanks and tees for our Spring/Summer wardrobe, and thought we'd share some of our favorite pattern ideas with you. Scroll on for warm weather knitspiration!

When looking for summer tee ideas, we always go straight to Sari Nordlund's pattern portfolio. Sari is a Finnish knitwear designer known for her clean, timeless designs rooted in Scandinavian style and minimalism. Drawing inspiration from architecture, contemporary design, and classic silhouettes, she creates knitting patterns that feel both modern and enduring.

The Kuutar Tee (shown above) is knit seamlessly top-down starting at the neckband, and features an elegant lace yoke pattern. While this top was originally designed in Malabrigo Susurro, we think it will be perfect worked up Magpie Fibers Equinox Sport.

Another of our favorite garment designers is Isabell Kraemer. We absolutely love her Yume Tee for summer; it's got a perfect laid back shape, with just a touch of fancy in the yoke. Yume is worked seamlessly top down in the round, and the pattern also includes instructions for long sleeves if you prefer.

Last on our list is the Deren Tee by Jaq Studio. Deren is a quintessential knit tee, designed to be a pattern to return to time and time again - both because there are so many ways to knit it, and because the detailed instructions teach skills that can be applied to other knitting patterns. Deeply wearable and fully adaptable, this top-down, set-in sleeve tee features a classic silhouette with seamless construction and has both cropped (shown above) and full length versions. The pattern includes 12 sizes, optional horizontal bust darts in 6 sizes and 4 video tutorials to help you learn along the way.

If you've had a chance to visit our shop in Ashland, you already know knitting is a way of life for our talented and dedicated staff. We've decided to put our knitting needles to work for an incredible cause again April 11th, and we need your help!

The Knit for Food knit-a-thon is a 12 hour knitting marathon to raise funds and awareness for food insecurity. 100% of funds raised will be equally divided between Feeding America, World Central Kitchen, No Kid Hungry, and Meals on Wheels. This is our second year participating in Knit for Food, and we've set up Team Websters again - lead by our staffer Sarah, who has committed to knitting for the cause. There are two ways to support the Knit for Food knit-a-thon: You can donate OR you can sign up to knit/craft for 12 hours!

Please click the button below to join us on Team Websters, donate to the cause, or to simply learn more about this year's Knit for Food knit-a-thon.

Knit for Food 2026 Knit-a-thon

Hey Locals! We'd love for you to come out and join Team Websters for an afternoon of crafting on April 11th, even if you're not doing the whole marathon. We'll be hosting a public meet-up at Clyde's Corner from 12-4pm. Out of respect for our friends over at Clyde's, we need an accurate headcount for our meet-up, so please RSVP here if you plan on joining. Our group table reservation is limited to 15 people; thanks for understanding, and we hope to see you there!
