With all the sunshine we've been getting this week, we're ready to toss aside our woolen projects in favor of seasonally appropriate fibers; and something new from Malabrigo arrived just in time for a spring cast-on! Malabrigo Verano is a DK/worsted weight yarn featuring 100% Pima cotton (their first plant-based yarn). Its softness and shine are perfect for warm weather garments and accessories, as well as for baby items. Verano has the same bright, intense hand dyed colors that you have come to expect from Malabrigo, which is a rare commodity when it comes to cotton yarns.

If you're in the mood for an easy project, we recommend knitting the Marigot Shawl by Jacqueline van Dillen.
