A Long Awaited Spincycle Restock
Feb 4th 2026
Sometimes all we need is a big, big box from Spincyle Yarns to brighten the day. And this time, our restock of Dyed in the Wool is extra bright, bold, and beautiful! We've just received our first batch of MONTAÑA (shown above), and it's stunning. We also got restocks of old favorites like Wololo, The Family Jewels, Stay Ready, and Pick Your Poison. If you're as obsessed with this yarn as we are, you already know these one-of-a-kind skeins sell through quickly, so don't hesitate to grab your favorites while they're in stock.
Not familiar with Spincyle Yarns? This PNW based company merges the beauty and texture of a handspun yarn with a more efficiently produced mill spun yarn. The yarn maintains the color artistry of their original handspun product, and because they dye the fiber before it's spun, colors meet and part ways in stunning combinations... the overall effect is balanced and seamless. The color transitions are slow and dramatic, and each skein is stunningly unique. Have you ever knit a DRK Everyday Cowl? We love a fun, satisfying knit and this pattern by Andrea Mowry certainly delivers! This cowl is knit mostly in garter stitch, with i-cord edges and occasional slip-stitches for added interest. We worked up a striped version for the shop using Fonty Tartan 3 (a soft, subtly heathered wool) paired with Spincycle Dream State for a unique, unpredictable gradient effect. The combination of these yarns creates a finished fabric that's soft and squishy without being too heavy, making it a perfect throw-on accessory that you can wear across multiple seasons.
We made choosing colors easy for you, and put together a variety of DRK Everyday Cowl Kit colorways. Each kit includes a printed copy of the pattern and all the yarn you need to knit the cowl: 2 skeins of Spincycle Dream State yarn and 2 balls of Fonty Tartan 3 in complementary colors.
The DRK Everyday Cowl featured above was knit using Colorway A.
Do you ever cast on a new project thinking "I'll just knit a few rows" and suddenly realize you've spent the whole entire day knitting?! If you decided to knit a Grid Gambit cowl (shown above), be prepared for that to happen! Grid Gambit by Samantha Guerin is worked flat beginning at one corner, shaped with increases and decreases, and seamed after blocking. The cowl features an allover mosaic pattern, built in i-cord edges and an i-cord bind off. Did we mention the pattern includes both written and charted instructions? Absolute perfection. If you're not familiar with mosaic knitting, we encourage you to give it a try. Unlike traditional stranded colorwork (where you're using two or more strands at a time), mosaic knitting uses only one strand at a time. In addition to making colorwork simpler to manage, you get fewer floats and a more flexible fabric.
With our recent Spincycle Yarns shipment, we were able to restock a handful of our Grid Gambit Cowl Kit colorways - so act quickly if you've been waiting for these to be back in stock, we don't know how long they'll last. Each Grid Gambit Cowl Kit includes a printed copy of the pattern and all the yarn you need to knit the cowl: 1 skein of Spincycle Dyed in the Wool yarn and 2 balls of De Rerum Natura Ulysse Yarn in complementary colors.
The Grid Gambit cowl featured above was knit using Colorway B.
