We had so many requests for a crochet retreat, and we are thrilled to oblige with the one and only Toni Lipsey! Once again we have teamed up with the extraordinary crew of the Winchester Inn, and enlisted Tunisian Crochet guru Toni Lipsey (along with Mama Gwen!), to bring you a one-of-a-kind luxury getaway in Southern Oregon. Where You'll Stay
Our retreat begins at the luxurious Winchester Inn, located in the heart of Ashland. A mere 2 blocks from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the Winchester Inn has a long history of providing a boutique hotel experience for playgoers, and they are excited to welcome back our group of knitters! Each retreat guest will have their own unique room and private bathroom, which are all appointed with fresh flowers, plush terry cloth robes, Antica Farmacista toiletries, and afternoon pastry treats. We will enjoy gourmet breakfast on site each day, and use their charming parlor for social knitting in the evenings.

Classes
Resting at the intersection of knitting and crochet, Tunisian Crochet brings the best of these crafts into a new dimension! These are “Absolute Beginner” level classes, aimed at teaching any crafter the joys of Tunisian Crochet.
Introduction to Tunisian Crochet:
Discover the excitement of this addictive technique and walk out of class with your first completed project - the Bliss Braided Ear Warmer, an exclusive pattern from Toni’s book The Tunisian Crochet Handbook.
Beginner Tunisian Crochet:
Lamia Wrap. Sophistication meets skill-building in the Lamia Wrap, a beginner-friendly triangle shawl pattern. Start with just three stitches and watch your shawl grow alongside your Tunisian crochet confidence.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival is a very special part of any visit to Ashland, and this time our theater outing is to the irreverent Sondheim favorite, Into The Woods, where familiar fairy tales tangle and twist together. We are thrilled to have reserved seats in the historic outdoor Elizabethan Theater on our final night of retreat.

Wine Tasting
Southern Oregon is home to many award winning wineries and vineyards, and we will enjoy an afternoon of tasting at one of our favorites! We are thrilled to be heading back to Irvine & Roberts for a relaxing afternoon of tasting and crafting together. Transportation and tastings are all included. Bring a portable knitting or crochet project and enjoy the lovely vistas and incomparable wines of the Rogue Valley.
