This shoulder warmer is worked as a coiled spiral on the same principle as a pottery bowl made by coiling a clay “snake” around and around. The first step is to knit a strip as long as the shoulder warmer is around. Then, as the work progresses, you will coil the strip on top of itself, attaching it as you go by picking up stitches from the selvedge edge and knitting them together with the last stitch on every wrong side row. Designed by Kristin Ford.
