Manos del Uruguay
Formed in 1968 Manos Del Uruguay is a collective of 13 cooperative groups of women from rural areas in Uraguay and together they produce the vibrant hand painted yarns which we have enjoyed for years and patterns that are a blend of ethnic style and timeless classics. The artisans are the owners of Manos del Uruguay and are part of a nonprofit association whose purpose is to generate employment for rural women. Manos yarns are made by hand and dyed in small pots which allows for a wide variety of colors with the nuances and richness of tone that characterize them.
