Description

Keep your hands warm during chilly morning walks with the Marquam mittens. The fully faced cuff of this classic ski-style accessory, charted for three sizes, wards off even the stiffest of breezes while adding stability to the ribbed outer fabric. Choosing your colors for this project will be a joy as Arbor’s breadth of jewel tones and soothing neutrals lend themselves brilliantly to the spherical colorwork motif, which can be worked in either two or four colors. Designed by Véronik Avery.

Finished Measurements: 8.25 (8.75, 9.25)" circumference at wrist; 8 (9.25, 10.5)” height from bottom of cuff to top of mitten

Yarn: 2 (2, 2) skeins of Main Color and 1 (1, 1) skein of Color 1 for Version 1 in Two Colors; 2 (2, 2) skeins of Main Color, and 1 (1, 1) skein of Colors 1-3 for Version 2 in Four Color of Brooklyn Tweed Arbor

Featured in colors 461 Dorado (MC) and 492 Gale (C1) for Version 1; in colors 470 Fleet (MC), 499 Hammock (C1), 433 Tincture (C2) and 495 Driftwood (C3) for Version 2

Needles and Notions: US 2 & US 1 double pointed needles, stitch markers (including 1 in a unique style/color for BOR), smooth waste yarn, US B-1 crochet hook for provisional cast on, T-pins, blunt tapestry needle

Gauge: 32 stitches & 40 rows = 4" in chart pattern with US 2 needles
