Try Your Hands at Sashiko
May 12th 2025
Have you heard of the ancient art of sashiko? Sashiko is a form of decorative stitching from Japan that was traditionally used to mend and reinforce fabric. The stitches are often arranged in intricate patterns, creating beautiful and functional designs. Sashiko has experienced a resurgence in popularity in recent years, with many people embracing it as a way to add unique and handmade touches to their clothing and home decor. The history and technique of sashiko are fascinating, and it's definitely worth exploring for anyone interested in traditional textile arts. You may know us as your favorite yarn shop, but we also stock sashiko supplies and currently offer a variety of threads, needles, thimbles, and sashiko cloth.
