June 20th marked the official beginning of Summer, as well as the debut of 3 stunning new patterns featuring Woolfolk Stra. Stra (meaning Straw in Danish) is on our short list of essential summer yarns, blending 50% Ovis 21 Ultimate Merino with 50% linen in a unique chainette construction. This innovative blend combines the strength and durability of linen with the softness of wool, making it gentler on the hands then traditional linen (and perfect for a variety of knitting projects!). Woolfolk Stra is a DK weight yarn, and comes in a thoughtfully curated palette of 11 colors.

While all three new Stra patterns are gorgeous, we found ourselves immediately abandoning our current WIPs to cast on the Sauvie vest (featured above in color 02 Peach). A light and effortless warm-weather essential, this sleeveless vest is knitted top-down with clean lines and thoughtful detailing. Featuring a flattering scoop neckline and a button band accent, the design is anchored by a graceful vertical panel that adds structure and visual interest.
