Located on the Plaza in Ashland, Oregon, we specialize in high-quality, natural fibers as well as one-of-a-kind Art to Wear, including handmade clothing, hats, handbags and jewelry. Shop online or stop by the store, either way, we'll be delighted to meet you.

We may be based in Oregon but we ship our products to over 30 countries in the world. Just because we're not in your neighborhood doesn't mean you can't enjoy our products!

Just In: Laine 14 & Our Favorite Summer Tee!

Laine Magazine Issue 14

Laine Issue 14 is inspired by the light Nordic summer nights - gentle, delicate, and carefree. The 10 designs featured in this collection embody that summer night's magic and explore colorwork, texture, and delicate details. This issue also includes seasonal recipes, book reviews, interviews, and a column about how to find comfort in learning a new craft.

The cover of Laine 14 features the Sommernacht - a lightweight crescent shaped shawl that combines garter stitch and lace, making it a soothing yet interesting project to work on. We recommend knitting this shawl up in The Fibre Co. Meadow yarn, a unique blend of wool/linen/silk/llama that offers subtle heathered tones with beautiful depths of color.

Florencia Pullover

Our favorite pattern from Issue 14 is Florencia, a darling geometric lace tee. This timeless piece is straightforward to knit and easy to alter - you can make the sleeves longer or leave off the lace in the back.

We think Florencia would be stunning knit up in Brooklyn Tweed Peerie, a polished, worsted-spun Merino wool with excellent stitch definition. If you prefer a more rustic aesthetic, we recommend knitting this tee in Biches et Buches Le Petit Lambswool - a high quality lambswool from Scotland with a range of soft, heathered colors.

Elemental Affects Coastal Yarn

Looking for more summer wardrobe inspiration? Our go-to knit this season is the Ranunculus Tee. This top down pullover features a delicate lace yoke pattern and cropped length that layers great over dresses and high waisted skirts. Note that you can adjust the body length if crops aren't your style!

We knit our shop sample up in Elemental Affects Coastal yarn, a wool/flax/mulberry silk blend that drapes beautifully and is light enough to wear during warmer seasons.
