Flowers to Brighten Your Day
Mar 3rd 2025
We absolutely adore a good hat pattern, don't you?! It's a quick way to craft a unique-to-you accessory while also keeping your head nice and toasty on a chilly day - plus there's something super satisfying about seeing a pattern come to life as you knit. We find ourselves coming back to the Pressed Flowers hat time and time again, it's just such an aesthetically pleasing project.
The Pressed Flowers hat designed by Amy Christoffers, uses a technique called mosaic knitting. Unlike traditional stranded colorwork (where you're using two or more strands at a time), mosaic knitting uses only one strand at a time. In addition to making colorwork simpler to manage, you get fewer floats and a more flexible fabric. Mosaic knitting is such a fun technique - we encourage you to try it!
Want to try your hand at knitting a Pressed Flowers hat? We just restocked a limited quantity of these kits, so we encourage you to grab your favorite colorway before they sell out again. Each Pressed Flowers Hat kit contains a copy of the pattern, as well as a skein each of Spincycle Dyed in the Wool and Brooklyn Tweed Tones Light in complementary colors.

We've decided to put our knitting needles to work for an incredible cause this April, and we need your help! Knit for Food Knit-a-thon is a 12 hour knitting marathon to raise funds and awareness for food insecurity. 100% of funds raised will be equally divided between Feeding America, World Central Kitchen, No Kid Hungry, and Meals on Wheels.
This year we've set up Team Websters, and our staffer Sarah has committed to knitting for the cause. There are two ways to support the Knit For Food Knit-a-thon: You can donate OR you can sign up to knit/craft for 12 hours! Please click the link below to Donate, join Team Websters, or to simply learn more about this year's Knit for Food knit-a-thon.
