Our current favorite member of the super-bulky section has to be Malabrigo Caracol. The single ply and bold colors make it similar to Rasta, but Caracol has a thick and thin texture which is then wrapped with a black binder thread. The result is like the yarn equivalent of stained glass, with luminescent colors framed in crisp black lines.
A skein of Caracol can make a jaunty hat or a quick cowl, which means it is ideal for giving your gift knitting a jump start. Caracol shipments are quick to sell out, so don't hesitate!
This weekend we'll be at Vogue Knitting Live in Seattle! If you are planning to attend, be sure to stop by our booth to see the entire collection from Cocoknits Sweater Workshop, as well as the latest from Habu, Rowan, and Woolfolk!
