Boardwalk is the new Spring collection from Tahki Stacy Charles, and it has us longing for flip flops and strolls down the shore. Combining new yarns with old favorites, this breezy, casual collection of designs is full of garments we are excited to both knit and wear.
The Belmar Tee is a fun stitch sampler using the new Tahki Baja yarn. While 100% cotton, Baja is composed of 2 distinctly different strands: a smooth dyed multi-ply, and a nubby white single. The marl effect creates both a textural and visual impact, and we love the concise, natural palette.
Catalina is new to the Tahki line this season, a 100% mercerized cotton... with a twist. On the shelf it looks like a typical worsted weight cotton yarn; once knit it reveals subtle stripes of texture that are virtually indistinguishable in the ball. After doing double and triple takes, we moved from flabbergasted to impressed by this sly new yarn, and we think you will be, too.
Our favorite hands down is Wildwood Crest Vest, knit in the unique Tahki Ripple. Ripple takes stockinette stitch to a new level, resulting in a striking fabric with minimal effort. We love the shaping, which lends itself perfectly to the trend of long layers.
